Making Pial Surfaces Edits
To follow this exercise exactly be sure you've downloaded the tutorial data set before you begin. If you choose not to download the data set you can follow these instructions on your own data, but you will have to substitute your own specific paths and subject names.
Toward the anterior region of the brain, notice that there's a lot of dura remain from the skullstrip making the pial surface extend further out from the grey matter. In these cases, manual edits will be the quickest way to fix the problem. You also notice that this problem exists in all three stages: cross, base, and long. <<B>>If<</B>> you are not looking to use the cross-sectional data, it is easiest and quickest to just make the edit on the base, and then rerun the longitudinal data from there.
